Flight Behavior is a brilliant and suspenseful novel set in present day Appalachia; a breathtaking parable of catastrophe and denial that explores how the complexities we inevitably encounter in life lead us to believe in our particular chosen truths. Kingsolver's riveting story concerns a young wife and mother on a failing farm in rural Tennessee who experiences something she cannot explain, and how her discovery energizes various competing factions—religious leaders, climate scientists, environmentalists, politicians—trapping her in the center of the conflict and ultimately opening up her world. Flight Behavior is arguably Kingsolver's must thrilling and accessible novel to date, and like so many other of her acclaimed works, represents contemporary American fiction at its finest.

In my opinion, the titles are not entirely scientific and rather are a metaphorical interpretation of these concepts, which helps us to read with a different perspective.&nbsp; For example, &ldquo;The Measure of a Man&rdquo; can be related both to the element of the mountain, and to Dellarobia's dubious morals in the chapter as &ldquo;Man&rdquo; isn&rsquo;t referring to the gender and rather to the species. Using the butterfly as a representation of the growth and evolution of her as a person.

She interprets it as a sign of joy, this sight of butterflies causes her to give a whole new meaning to her life. They are important as they represented a sign to him at a time of personal intrigue and uncertainty. Both Dellarobia and the monarch butterflies have deviated from their "flight routes" and it is reflected in that and also in the perseverance he has to achieve to endure the situation.

How do the chapter titles relate both to scientific concepts as well as the events that unfold within each chapter itself?
The relation is that the tittles give an idea of the theme and the more scientific part of the novel to get the reader in the mightiest on the events that can transpire in the story, even if some of these are not exactly speaking in a scientific point like the title of chapter 1. But the choice of this also comes thanks to the parallelism of the protagonist and butterfly, mirroring in a way her evolution in the novel.&nbsp;

I think it is a perfect presentation on how media usually just attend or are present to a cause or in this case a phenomenon if they find it profitable for it to be seen because as this chapter says they are not asking questions to the scientist because that won't sell so they go to a more catching witness that could give them a more &ldquo;interesting&rdquo; story

With all that was narrated in that chapter, it is seen that Della is not having a good time and she is really depressed about her current circumstances in her life, but when she sees the butterfly she seems surprised but also revealing due to this phenomenon she interprets it as a sign of God (and this case of disapproval with the situation with the telephone repairman) and we can see that from there she will start watching things from a different perspective and later on she discovers that far from being a sign of god it was a sign of climate change

R= It is a very rare phenomenon that happens in where she lives. She sees this rare mass of orange things flying above the sky when she is on her way to meet a telephone repairman who she is planning to have an affair with. When she sees the butterflies she takes it as a sign of disapproval from god. She is like the butterflies because she has a transformation of her mentality about life and her beliefs. When she finds them she starts to change her ideas about them being a sign of god to help her see that this is a phenomenon of the climate change crisis.&nbsp;&nbsp;
